Robbie Williams (born Robert Peter Williams on 13 February 1974 in Stoke-on-Trent) is a Grammy Award-nominated and multi BRIT Award-winning English singer-songwriter. His career started as a member of the pop band Take That in 1990, which he left in 1995 to launch his solo career.

Robbie Williams as a solo artist has sold more albums in the United Kingdom than any other British solo artist and has won more BRIT Awards than any other artist to date.[1] His album sales stands at over 55 million worldwide.[2]

Williams entered the The Guinness Book of World Records when he announced his World Tour for 2006, selling 1.6 million tickets in one single day.[3] He has been the recipient of many awards.

He appears in the list of the all-time Top 100 biggest selling albums in the United Kingdom six times[4]. It is also estimated he is currently the best selling artist in Latin America at the moment with over 3 million sold[5].
